Immigrant Outreach Society (IOS) is a Calgary-based nonprofit organization supporting Black refugees and immigrants from East Africa through culturally appropriate, language-specific and community-focused programs. The organization provides mental health and psychosocial support, crisis intervention, settlement and integration assistance, community outreach, youth programs, training and workshops, advocacy and anti-racism initiatives. IOS works to improve access to services, strengthen community connections and promote wellbeing, inclusion and racial equality. Its programs support individuals and families from communities including Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan, Sudan and Somalia.
