Oromo Evangelical Church of Toronto (OECT)

Oromo Evangelical Church of Toronto (OECT), formerly known as The Oromo Christian Church of Toronto, is an Oromo Christian church serving the Greater Toronto Area from Scarborough, Ontario. The church was initiated in the early 1990s by Oromo immigrants seeking to worship and build community in Afaan Oromoo. OECT provides worship, Bible study, discipleship, prayer, children and youth ministry, choir and worship programs, women’s ministry, marriage and family ministry, evangelism and community outreach. Located at 330 Bellamy Road North in Scarborough, the church serves Oromo families and the wider community through faith, fellowship, service and outreach.
